We’ve released a new feature for our Google Local Wizard tool.
You can now receive email alerts that notify you about changes to your Google Local listing. Once activated, we’ll carry out daily checks for any updates to your listing, and send you alerts to notify you of any changes.
The email alerts contain a direct link to your Google Local Wizard report so you can quickly see the changes.

Email alerts are optional & can be switched on or off at any time. Once activated, you’ll receive email alerts with your latest Google Local listing updates, like the example below:
Receive email alerts for new reviews
It’s important to keep track of what reviews are appearing on your Google Local listing, which is why we’ve included review updates in the email alerts* (amongst many other features). Once activated, we’ll send you updates about new reviews (as below):
*Please note that we only include up to 5 new reviews in the report & email alerts.
What changes are tracked?
In the alert email, you’ll be able to see which areas of your listing have been changed since the previous day. This includes:
- Business name
- Phone number
- Opening hours
- Average rating
Get a quick overview of your latest changes
In the email alerts, we’ll also show an overview of your latest profile details. So you can see whether certain statistics have gone up or down. This includes images, categories, reviews & average rating.
How often will I receive email alerts?
We’ll carry out a daily check to see if there’s been any change to your Google Local listing. If there’s any changes, we’ll update you on the same day.
Email alerts & White label profiles
Please note, if you’ve set up a white label profile then your email alerts will comply with your existing settings.
How to activate email alerts
To activate email alerts, just login to BrightLocal, go to your Google Local Wizard report & select ‘Edit Report’. From here you can activate your alerts from the ‘Receive Email Alerts’ section at the bottom of the page, (see below):
