Before I hired Hirsch Fishman to develop my website, I’d worked with other developers. Some of them were large companies. Others were one-person developers. None was satisfactory. After working for a while with one of the very large ones, I realized that I’d never be able to communicate directly with the actual site developer—who lived and worked outside the U.S. for very low wages—but only with the various tiers of Americans who’d sold me the product, and who acted as intermediaries, and who continually pressured me to buy a more expensive website. One-man developers, on the other hand, had communication issues: the less I communicated with them, by phone or email, the happier they were. Hirsch, I was delighted to discover, stood out from all of them. He was prompt and thorough in responding to my great many, highly detailed, comprehensive emails and phone calls, and a genuine pleasure to work with. Unlike far too many developers, he was an excellent and articulate communicator, both as a writer and speaker. With Hirsch, there is no projection of “developer arrogance” and no tendency to say, “Don’t tell me how to do my job.” He always listened carefully to whatever I requested, and cheerfully implemented it without argument. Although Hirsch developed my site from scratch, he was able to use websites he’d already produced, and that I greatly admired, as a model and springboard for discussion and design. And Hirsch had the most reasonable pricing I’d come across on the internet: far-and-away the best. My site required innumerable tweaks and changes during the entire development process. It’s impossible to know how well an idea or a direction will work until it’s been implemented. Once the tweak’s been made, it often becomes apparent that although “it’s close to what I envisioned, but not quite there,” and as a result will require additional tweaks. One of the most rewarding aspects of my relationship with Hirsch was his calm patience with all of the many tweaks I required. My site is very photo-intensive. Dozens of high-resolution photos are required to display the various features of the products I offer. I wanted my photography to all but place my products in the customer’s hands, and Hirsch helped me realize that goal. He integrated photographs with text so that the appearance of every page is esthetically pleasing. The completed site is remarkably clean and uncluttered, and even elegant in appearance. It’s wonderfully easy to navigate, and visitors enjoy exploring it: so I’m told by those who have done so. When I hired Hirsch, I really didn’t imagine that I’d like it so much, and what I imagined was very good indeed. SEO (search-engine optimization) is required for good placement on the Google site. Most developers consider such optimization beyond the scope of site development. They expect their customers to purchase SEO from third-party vendors. Hirsch, on the other hand, provides certain basic features of SEO as part of his site development. And after the site is complete, he is available to make adjustments when the need for them becomes apparent. I recommend Hirsch Fishman, without hesitation of any kind, for website development.

When we were looking to rebuild our Synagogue's website, we bid out the job to three different companies. We decided to go with Addicott because they had the best combination of price and experience. We hit the jackpot! Hirsch provided every functionality we wanted in our new website, with a beautiful calendar that sorts items by category; the ability to make online payments and donations; and the ability to sell tickets to events and keep track of bookings online. Hirsch is responsive to requests and went beyond what was required - when I had a problem with making a form and asked Hirsch what I had done wrong, he not only told me how to use the form maker, but also updated the form for me without my even asking. I would absolutely recommend him for any website project.

I approached Addicott Web a few months ago to help build a website for my knish company (knish-a-licious).
