We employ 120 people across 4 countries: the UK, the USA, Ukraine and the Philippines. Brighton is our HQ and our global management and operational hub, comprising Marketing, Customer Success, Product & Project Management and Operations.

Last year we grew the company by 50%. We have ambitious growth targets for 2019, and this role will be crucial to help us achieve our goals.

Job Description:

Taking on this leadership position in our growing Marketing team, you’ll be responsible for managing and delivering BrightLocal’s Marketing acquisition strategy.

You will manage a team of four marketers covering a full range of digital disciplines – content, pr/outreach, social, email, design and paid-acquisition.

Reporting directly to the CEO, and working closely with your colleagues in the Marketing, Product, Sales and Customer Success teams, you’ll drive quality leads through a variety of Marketing channels, with a particular focus on organic search and remarketing.

Highly numerate and analytical, you’ll have ownership of the Marketing acquisition budget and will be capable of analysing and reporting on the success of Marketing activity to drive leads and generate additional revenue.

BrightLocal is a marketing-driven business, with 90% of our leads coming through inbound marketing. Effective marketing is essential to our growth and this role is integral to our continued success and expansion. We are well-known and have a fantastic reputation within the industry, not only as a result of our excellent suite of tools but also because of our fantastic content and research, which is often cited in industry presentations.

This position is perfect for someone with previous experience in a Digital Marketing leadership role, preferably with a focus on SEO and other acquisition channels.

You will work autonomously on projects and have the full support of the CEO and team leaders in each department. The role is challenging, varied and highly rewarding; you will quickly see the results of your work impact business performance.

Skills Range:

Marketing Strategy

You have experience of owning and delivering a Marketing acquisition strategy in a competitive B2B business, using a full range of channels including SEO, Social, Email, Paid and Remarketing.

Analysis & Reporting

You have experience of analysing and reporting on website and marketing performance data. You are able to create detailed and insightful reports and present results and conclusions to the Leadership team. You are comfortable recommending improvements and not afraid to challenge assumptions and take risks to find new opportunities.

SEO in a B2B Business

You have excellent knowledge of SEO and an awareness of how best to use this channel for B2B acquisition and engagement purposes. You are keenly aware of SEO best practice and how to apply this to a conversion-driven website.

Leader and Team Player

You are a team player with experience of working closely with other internal stakeholders to drive improvement and growth. You thrive in a fast-paced, exciting workplace where you have autonomy to test and deliver results – fast!

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years in a Digital Marketing leadership role.
  • Excellent SEO knowledge, both as an acquisition channel and from a technical, on-site perspective.
  • Strategic thinker, able to formulate and implement online acquisition strategies that drive results.
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Search Console.
  • Able to create detailed, dynamic reports (e.g. Data Studio or similar) and present results and hypotheses to department heads and CEO.
  • Able to source and cultivate new Marketing opportunities.
  • Analytical and numerate, able to interrogate and report on key Marketing metrics.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive self-starter.
  • Experience of managing Marketing budgets and measuring ROI.
