Coal Creative is a full-service creative agency focused on fueling your Website, Video, Social Media, Design and more. We invite you to collaborate on your next project, campaign or idea with a well-rounded team of creative millennials. While we are based in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, we have worked with a wide variety of businesses, small and large, all across the world and have the flexibility to share your message regardless of budget.
What started in 2008 as a portfolio website for founder Gerard Durling to take on more web-design freelance work, has grown into a group of like-minded creatives producing brands, websites, content, videos and more. Gerard hired the first employee, multi-talented designer and developer Matt Simoncavage in 2015, and soon after Holly Pilcavage joined the team. With the addition of her entrepreneurial, organizational and people skills and her passion for making a difference, Holly brought her big ideas and set the stage for huge growth. Fast forward 3 years - Coal has grown from a graphic and web design firm to an award winning marketing agency that boasts: A growing video production team, a roster of intern alumni who are taking on NEPA and beyond by storm and a team of endlessly creative millennial individuals who lead their individual fields in innovation, productivity and efficiency. As we learn and grow, we will continue to focus on the creation of a company culture that provides a space for our expanding team to do what they do best while creating opportunities for them to be the best at what they do for our clients, and our community.

Holly not only provided a startup-friendly budget but also went above and beyond to make our vision a reality without compromising on the excellence we were aiming for. We are thrilled with the outcome and recognize the effort you put into ensuring the production met our standards despite the budget constraints. We look forward to a long healthy partnership.

Coal Creative is one of the best digital marketing companies in the area. Working in the nonprofit world, Holly and her team have helped me take ideas for different events or websites for the different organizations I volunteer for and brought them into reality. The quality of their work is amazing and worth every cent. They are so community involved and we are very lucky to have them in Northeastern PA.
