What happens after my free trial ends?
You will be able to access your account but you can't run new reports or update existing reports.
To run or update reports you will need to subscribe to a plan.
From time to time we delete old, unused accounts so we may do this if your account is not accessed or reactivated.
How and when do I pay?
You don't have to pay until the end of your 14 day free trial. We don't ask for your credit card upfront, so you'll only be charged when you decide you’re ready.
We do it this way because we don't believe in tricking people into paying to use our service. It should be good enough for people to want to pay for—and many businesses do!
What happens if I need more reports than listed on a plan?
Additional reports can be purchased on any plan and removed at any time. It is possible to build a completely customized plan using add-ons.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. This counts for both subscribing customers and for those on free trials.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel at any time.
If you are on a free trial, there is no need to cancel. We do not ask for payment details in advance so we don't automatically bill you at the end of your trial.
What happens after I cancel?
We won't delete your account or your reports so you can log in and view them at any time. However, reports will not update with new data after you cancel. Your reports will start running again if you decide to come back and reactivate your subscription.
You will still be able to use our pay-as-you-go citation building service without a paid subscription.
Can I buy just part of the BrightLocal service?
This isn't possible on our standard subscription levels. However, if you have a very high volume of locations and need just one or two types of reports then we can create a custom plan just for you. Please contact us for more information on custom plans.
What benefit do 'White-label' options give me?
White-label options allow you to remove all mention of BrightLocal from your reports and emails, and customize them with your own logo and brand colors.
I just want to build citations. Do I still need to sign up?
Yes. You'll still need to create an account on BrightLocal, but you won't need to start a free trial if you're just interesed in our citation building service. There is no obligation to use our other tools and you do NOT need to pay a monthly subscription to use Citation Builder. You can create a Citation Building account here.
What countries does BrightLocal work in?
Our tools are configured to work for USA, UK, Canada, and Australia.
We plan to add additional countries over the coming months, so please contact us if you want to know when we're launching in your country.
Is Citation Builder included in each plan?
Citation Builder is a pay-as-you-go service which you can use with each plan at any time. You can also use Citation Builder without the need to sign up for a plan. Each citation submission or update we do costs $3 (or $2 when you bulk buy credits).
You can access Citation Builder from your account but you don't get any credits included in your monthly subscription. Submission campaigns or submission credits are purchased separately.
On the flip side, if you just want to use Citation Builder you don't need to pay for a monthly subscription to our other tools.
How do I get BrightLocal to submit to Data Aggregators?
We do submit to the 'big 4' US data aggregators, and we submit to Factual for all other countries.
To submit to data aggregators you need to create a Citation Builder campaign where you can select the aggregators you want and/or manual submissions if you want those as well.
