Welcome to the New BrightLocal.com!

Welcome to the New BrightLocal.com!
  • BrightLocal's website has a fresh new look, with cleaner designs and a new logo.
  • We're introducing 'Bright Ideas', the new home for local marketing content from BrightLocal.
  • 'CitationBurst' is now 'Citation Builder', but all other tool names remain the same.
  • The BrightLocal platform hasn't changed, so you can use it the same way you always have.

Ten years ago, Ed Eliot and I founded the first iteration of BrightLocal, a local search agency helping local businesses grow through the effective use of search marketing.

Fast-forward to today and, while BrightLocal has changed from an agency to a technology company, the aim is the same as it always was: to help deliver local marketing success.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved in the last decade, so to celebrate our birthday, we thought we’d treat our branding to a lick of paint. For a start, we know you’ll ❤ our new logo…

But we didn’t stop with our logo. You’ll no doubt have noticed we also have a new and improved website. Our aim was to simplify our product messaging and make it easier for visitors to find and read the content that helps them do their jobs better…

As you can see, BrightLocal.com now sports a cleaner, lighter look with a new logo, fresh visuals, and updated content that better showcases the expanding BrightLocal toolset.

Although you’ll notice no change to the familiar BrightLocal platform, our website and content has received a major overhaul, and we look forward to sharing the story behind the rebrand with you in the coming weeks.

We’re really pleased with the outcome and hope you are, too. If you have any feedback on the new design, we’d love to hear it! Leave a comment below or get in touch to let us know what you think.

Let’s take a look at what’s new on the website…

Introducing ‘Bright Ideas’ – the Ultimate Resource for Local Marketers

Bright Ideas Section

The biggest change to the website you might notice is a brand new section dedicated to our local marketing insights.

Given how recognized our articles, resources, webinars, and research pieces on local marketing have become, we thought it was about time we gave them pride of place in the Top Menu of the website, like so:

We call this new section ‘Bright Ideas’. Why not head over there now and see what’s new? We’d recommend giving it a slot in your bookmarks bar while you’re there!

‘CitationBurst’ is now ‘Citation Builder’

Our widely-used citation-building service, CitationBurst is now called ‘Citation Builder’. This brings it in line with the rest of our ‘action-oriented’ tools like Reputation Manager, Citation Tracker, and Agency Lead Generator.

You’ll see this change reflected on our website and in the BrightLocal tool. Though if you always refer to this service as ‘CB’, as we do internally, then you can carry on as normal!

Other Improvements

Those are the key differences you’ll notice, but here’s a few other neat bits and bobs we couldn’t help but improve:

  • Faster page loading times
  • Better mobile responsiveness
  • Improved usability
  • Updated site navigation
  • New videos showcasing products
  • Useful, related content below every product page
  • New ‘Comments’ section on Bright Ideas content
  • Intelligent search functionality on Bright Ideas content

Other than that, it’s just a new look for the same set of local marketing tools and services you trust.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating this new direction for our brand identity. Don’t worry, we’ve still been working behind the scenes on new tools, features and updates, and we’re excited to share some of these with you soon. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the new look!

About the author
In my capacity as BrightLocal founder and CEO, I get involved in all areas of the business, but my two biggest passions are our tools and our customers. It's my job to ensure that we continue to extend and improve our platform to meet our customers' ever-changing needs. But it's just as important that we deliver excellent customer service to match our tools; one without the other just doesn't cut it!
